Wire mesh demister is an efficient gas-liquid separation device, widely used in chemical industry, petroleum, sulfuric acid, medicine, light industry, metallurgy, machinery, construction, aviation, shipping, environmental protection and other industries. It is mainly used to separate droplets with a diameter greater than 3μm ~ 5μm, and the working principle is shown in the figure.

When the gas with mist rises through the wire mesh at a certain speed, due to the inertia of the mist rising, the mist collides with the wire mesh and is attached to the surface of the wire filament. The diffusion of the fog on the surface of the filament and the gravitational settlement of the fog make the fog form a larger droplet flow along the filament to the junction of the two wires. The wettability of the filaments, the surface tension of the liquid, and the capillary action of the filaments cause the droplet to grow larger and larger until the aggregate droplet is so large that its own gravity exceeds the combined force of the gas's upward force and the surface tension of the liquid, and the droplet is separated from the filaments. After the gas passes through the mesh defroster, it basically does not contain fog.

 

Separation of fog in the gas to improve operating conditions, optimize process indicators, reduce equipment corrosion, extend equipment life, increase processing capacity and recovery of valuable materials, protect the environment, reduce air pollution and so on.
