Plastic Pall Ring
Plastic pall ring is more and more popular in the gas and liquid separator applications. The plastic pall ring has outstanding chemical resistance, temperature stability and mechanical strength. The plastic pall ring consists of polypropylene pall ring, polyethylene pall ring, RPP pall ring, PVDF pall ring, PVC and CPVC pall ring.
The structure of plastic pall ring is a bit different from the ceramic pall ring and metallic pall ring. For the metallic and ceramic pall ring, two layers of windows on the cylinder wall and ligules bending inward the axes of the ring on the cylinder wall. There are two layers of windows on the plastic cylinder wall and the fingers or webs bending inward of the ring and form different shapes.
At the same decompression situation, the handling capacity of pall ring is 50% more than the Raschig ring. Meanwhile, the mass pressure is half lower than the Raschig ring at the same treatment. Additional, transfer efficiency will improve about 20%.

Applications of plastic pall ring
Plastic pall ring is widely used in the chemical towers because of the excellent chemical resistance performance.
Because of the high separating efficiency, the plastic pall ring can be used in various applications, such as:

SO2, HCL and HF absorption or stripping.
